With several accolades and awards to her name, Dr. Kochhar is considered an icon in the beauty industry and holds high-ranking positions in many organizations. She is the chairperson of Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council and Beauty and Wellness Sector Skills, India. She is also the co-chairperson of various committees, including Women Community for PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI). Hers is also a well-recognized name in the international beauty space. She is the President of Organization Mondial Coiffure (OMC) – Paris and Intercoiffure Mondial (ICD) Paris.

Dr. Kochhar is the chairperson of Blossom Kochhar Group of Companies and the founder of India’s first and largest aromatherapy-based beauty & wellness brand, Blossom Kochhar Aroma Magic. This brand is an embodiment of her belief in holistic beauty that reflects inside out.

With more than 200+ signature aromatherapy-based products available across 100+ Indian cities and 10+ countries, Blossom Kochhar Aroma Magic has caregiving as its core principle and believes in reconnecting with nature for holistic well-being. Dr. Kochhar has been hailed as a trailblazer for revolutionizing the Indian beauty space with her wide range of aromatherapy-based products.

Dr. Kochhar’s goal of propagating a systematic, scientific, and yet artistic approach toward beauty also led to the establishment of Blossom Kochhar College of Creative Arts & Design (BKCCAD). BKCCAD is a premier beauty institute that offers international certification courses in skin, hair, and nails. In 1984, Dr. Kochhar brought Pivot Point, an international leader in hair and beauty education, to India. With BKCCAD, she has empowered passionate students and aspirants to build successful careers in the beauty industry across the globe.

Dr. Kochhar is a believer in social good and strives to bring positive change in the lives of the underprivileged. She has dedicated her life to educating people about aromatherapy, beauty, skin, and hair. For the last 42 years, she has skilled and trained thousands of underprivileged young women, differently-abled children, army widows, and cancer survivors and empowered them to earn a livelihood for themselves.

Under Dr. Kochhar’s leadership, Blossom Kochhar Aroma Magic has been associated with many CSR activities that focus on education, health & nutrition, and the environment. The brand supports CanKids, an NGO that supports children with cancer and their families. With the help of Give Me Trees Trust, Aroma Magic has planted over 12,000 trees till date.

Dr. Kochhar’s belief in the healing power of nature and aromatherapy and her vast knowledge of the beauty industry also form the foundation for the 4 books that she has authored. Her latest book Aromatherapy: A Way of Life, is a detailed guide to incorporating aromatherapy and essential oils for an environment-friendly lifestyle.

Dr. Kochhar was also the official Hair & Makeup Partner for Miss World in 1996, the only time this major international beauty pageant happened in India. She has been associated with Femina Miss India since the 1990s. She was a grooming expert and a jury member for the beauty pageant for 2018-2019.

Continuing her long-term collaboration with Femina Miss India, Dr. Kochhar played a major role in the beauty pageant this year as well. She was the happiness coach for the state winners and took a healing and wellness session with them to prepare them for the finals. She introduced them to the power of aromatherapy and essential oils that help boost confidence and improve concentration. She conducted a perfume-making activity for the state winners that helped them release stress and induced cheerfulness.

Dr. Kochhar was also one of the many esteemed jury members on the panel for the beauty pageant and helped select the best talents from 30 states across India. She mentored the 30 state winners, conducted a masterclass, gave etiquette & fine dining lessons, and educated them about the importance of confidence, elegance, the right posture & walk, etc.

In addition to being a jury member, a mentor, and a happiness coach for the talented state winners, Dr. Kochhar also created her very first virtual Metaverse Avatar in collaboration with Femina Miss India.

Besides being a pioneer aromatherapist, a businesswoman, a philanthropist, and a published author, Dr. Kochhar is also a yoga practitioner, a Kathak dancer, a golfer, and a grandmaster of many alternative therapies like Reiki, and Pranic.
